The Oslo Film Festival was founded in 2017 with the aspiration to showcase independent cinema and spotlight filmmakers of all backgrounds.

Promoting diversity and giving voice to all, our screening programmes always include films of various genres, different aesthetic approaches and styles. We encourage young aspiring filmmakers and those making their first steps in the industry.

We always host our Festivals in local cinemas and multicultural spaces, supporting the city’s historical venues while at the same creating events that are accessible to all.

As we move forward, with our core philosophy to support indie cinema in mind, we expand year by year enlarging our international filmmaking community.
